This Marrakech and Essaouira tour from Agadir packs two of Morocco's best-loved cities into one overnight trip. You are collected from your hotel in Agadir or Taghazout and travel in an air-conditioned vehicle, so the long drives stay comfortable.
Day one heads to the coast. On the way you can look out for the famous goats climbing argan trees, take a coffee break in a Berber village and stop at an argan oil cooperative. In Essaouira you have free time to wander the medina, look over the docks and old city walls, and have lunch at your own pace. The old Portuguese-influenced town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001.
In the late afternoon the journey continues to Marrakech, where you stay overnight in a hotel within walking distance of Jemaa el-Fna square. The evening is free to enjoy the square's food stalls and street performers.
On day two, after breakfast, a local guide leads a three-hour walking tour of the sights of the red city, including Bahia Palace, the gardens around the Koutoubia Mosque and Jemaa el-Fna. You then have free time in the souk and for lunch before the drive back to Agadir.
